The Prince Claus Fund is a private fund with the objective of increasing the understanding of cultures and to encourage interaction between culture and development. The Prince Claus Fund supports activities in this field by granting subsidies, awarding prizes and publishing books.

In addition, the Fund supports and encourages networks and innovative cultural activities. The people of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean are eligible for grants.
